Baby Weston – Welcome

Danielle and her husband are preparing to move to China this fall and decided having a two boys to take with them would be great.  God agreed– meet Weston.  🙂  It was a beautiful white-light afternoon, perfect for pictures and Weston was in the mood to sleep through whatever I had in mind.  What an easy baby!  New moms, you should give your infant the talk Danielle gave Weston about being on his best behavior for his shoot.  OK?  Thanks.  Enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together-  Danielle you look radiant.  It’s not hard to see you’re smitten with this little bundle.  All that hair– adorable!  Thanks for a great session.

Thanks to my Grandma and Aunt Jo for this cozy knit infant prop.  Called a cocoon, this is made with stretchy soft bouncle yarn.  It keeps baby warm and helps keep the all-curled-up look that babies pull off so well.  I should call it the “awwww” prop because that’s all I say every time I use it.  I have to remember I’m there to photograph, not just stare at cute babies.  🙂  This is another good excuse to learn how to knit!  I have a blue cocoon coming in the next week that I can’t wait to try out.  For you curious knitters, here is a link to a pattern for something similar.   http://www.twincitiesknitties.blogspot.com/

(above) My absolute fav.  Natural, genuine, happy.

Had to include a crying shot– homage to real life?  I think so.
