Rob & Cassie – Husband & Wife

I first met the Stack family when their middle daughter, Candy, needed senior pictures.

Then her awesome, super friendly mom, Nancy (Her girls call her Nance.  Love it.) mentioned her oldest, Cassie was getting married next summer (as in last Saturday!).

Throw in a family session.

An engagement session.

And FINALLY it was the big day-  5/12/12.  And what a day.  🙂  Cassie was lovely (tiny, and tall- working some bombshell heels I could only look good sitting down in) and Rob kept her laughing all day.  And me too!  Something to the effect of “Remember, here’s the deal:  Use the muscle enhancing photoshop tool and bring out the blue in my eyes. Ok, got it? Good.”  His first words to me.  Cassie married a man who can make her smile, which is ALWAYS a good start.

I mentioned the heels, right?  Wow!

My friend and second shooter, Laurie, of laurelynsavannahphotography.com snapped this shot of the groom and his guys looking, well, anything but nervous before the ceremony.  LOL.

I love this expression and the gorgeous bouquets in this image.  Pretty sure I went back and forth from black and white to color way too many times, working with this pic.  The moment called for black and white, but the flowers wanted color… had to give it to the moment.

Cassie’s parents renewed their vows before the ceremony- what a cool way to start a wedding on the right foot.  Very sweet.

The truly beautiful bride:

From the look on Rob’s face, the dress, the hair… worth it.

Off to the gardens for photography (can every bride plan a garden for photos?  pleeeease?).  There were so many spots that beckoned for pictures, I hardly knew where to start!  But with a BIG wedding party (hey, there are worse things than having tons of good friends) it was important to get down to business.  Looking good, ladies!!

Thanks, Laurie, for this classy shot of the men.

ME.  Working hard.  I think short people always have to work a little harder.  Back me up short people!  If I’d have been a six foot photographer, SO many shots would be easier.  My husband might not be thrilled…  😉

Cassie’s super organized (this groomsman just whipped out her schedule of the day).  She’s my hero.  🙂

Love.  Peace.  One of my favorites.

Eat, drink and be married!!

Rob with his mother.  She gave a beautiful, touching speech without even seeming to notice the room full of people surrounding her.  She spoke right to Rob and his bride, from the heart; the only dry eyes in the place just weren’t paying attention.

Rob’s dance to get Cassie’s permission to go for the garter was, well, hmmm.  I won’t even do it justice.  You just had to be there.  This man’s got moves!

First dance as a couple:  the new Mr. and Mrs.

Cassie and Rob (and your whole awesome family –Nancy this means you!) thanks for letting me be part of your day.  Cassie, I hope by now you’re wearing flats and cuddled up in your NEW house, with you NEW hubby, enjoying married life.  Congratulations!!
