Brett & Erin – Husband & Wife

Ah Brett and Erin. What can I say? I love her, since our crazy mandarin orange parties and workout dates in college, and she loves him. Ok, I like him too. 🙂 And they’re perfect for each other. It took ten+ years of friendship for them to realize it, but now it’s official! Brett & Erin, your wedding was a wonderful celebration of faith, family, and friends. Not to mention some amazing music… Thank you for inviting me to capture it. Not even the rain could bring us down on such a happy day! God bless you, fellow music-nerds and DCI dorks, now and always.  Much love.

A few shots at the rehearsal dinner:

The late night crowd, spending some quality time with the groom on his last night as a single man.

Erin’s mom (master decorator/craftswoman) was behind so much of the beautifying in the church and at the reception.  It was a labor of love!

WEDDING DAY – St. Marks Lutheran Church, Watertown WI

A gift from the groom to his bride:

I was privileged to sing in this wedding as well as photograph the day.  Thankfully this beautiful, simple piece is short- I only had to set my cameras down for a few minutes.  Those mallets?  Timpani.  🙂

Gorgeous worship space.

One way to get a better view:

These two put the icing on the processional (and recessionals).

Pre-reception snack of choice:  peanut butter cups and beer!

Another married man!  Showing off the ring:

This shot wasn’t even my idea… When you’re a jet, you’re a jet all the way!

Wowser, Mrs. Duwe!

Thanks to my awesome second on this wedding, Laurie Dexter of laurelynsavannahphotography.com for these two beautiful detail shots!  Flowers in different shades of the same color are super in right now– these really popped as centerpieces.  And maybe you guessed that Brett and Erin like wine?

Fun with old friends:

This sunset was worth stepping outside…

Aaaaand we danced the night away!

It was a joy to photograph the kind of couple whose love springs from deep friendship, and capture the close-knit family that wishes them well.  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs!
