Alison & Adam are outdoorsy people who met, fell in love, and embrace living, here in the midwest. \u00a0They fill their free time with shared hobbies that usually include active recreation and getting outside! \u00a0A couple who wants to do something different to showcase authentic moments is a photographer’s dream: \u00a0The white hills, snowy Lake Nagawicka, and a cozy campfire overlooking it provided the perfect, intimate setting for engagement photos. \u00a0Adam’s Dad and step-mom were kind enough to let us shoot on their property which is beautiful in winter, but also holds memories of summer nights and good talks around other campfires. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We ended up with a freezing, clear day for this shoot but decided to go for it– we’re Wisconsinites and knew what to expect– February isn’t spring. \u00a0Not even close. \u00a0After a few frames in downtown Delafield with Ali somehow pulling off a stylish-bundled up look, we headed to Lake Nagawicka. \u00a0I still can’t believe Adam managed to get a fire going with frozen wood, but his patience paid off. \u00a0And good thing! \u00a0By the time we hiked up from the lake, Ali was ready to warm up. \u00a0They didn’t need direction to snuggle in close for a romantic sunset over the snow.\u00a0 Some of my favorite images from the session.<\/p>\n

Adam & Ali you deserve an award for making single digits look this fun! \u00a0Adam thanks for inviting me to your parents’ to capture your love, for playing lumberjack, shoveling, and pleasantly putting up with two frozen women. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 A big thank you to you BOTH for inviting me to be a small part of your lives at this special time. \u00a0Ali you’ll make a absolutely beautiful bride this October. \u00a0ENJOY this sneak peek:<\/p>\n
