As an artist, sometimes you walk into a place and are immediately inspired. \u00a0That’s how I felt when we drove up to shoot getting ready photos at Liz’s parents’\u00a0home in the heart of farm country Wisconsin. \u00a0Family photos in black and white lined the walls, portraits of Liz and her siblings as well as wedding photos through the generations. \u00a0Even her grandparents were there to watch their grandbaby transform into the most beautiful, willowy bride. \u00a0Such sunny happiness this day, such sweetness in a mother buttoning a white dress in her daughter’s childhood bedroom. \u00a0Would that I could shoot this wedding every weekend. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Richard and Elizabeth have had a long road to the altar–school, military service, job changes, more school– but every step along the way only made them stronger. \u00a0Distance makes the heart grow fonder (isn’t that how it goes?). \u00a0Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt, it was an honor to witness and capture your wedding! \u00a0May you build a house and life that holds as many joyful memories as the place your special day began, and grow more in love each year you\u00a0share together. \u00a0Congratulations!<\/p>\n
