This girl first came into my life as a sweet, lanky freshman who joined our high school cross country team. \u00a0Somehow we survived both high school boys AND those long runs, and Rachel grew into the loveliest woman– a fun loving, elegant bride. \u00a0Being part of her and Nate’s wedding at Grace Downtown was so special! \u00a0What an awesome way to kick off my sixth year of weddings. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 Congrats to the Shaners! \u00a0Wishing you the happiest new life together on the east coast!<\/p>\n

Rachel is the youngest and only girl in her family. \u00a0It was sweet to capture her big brother\u00a0grin and struggle once or twice to keep it together as he married off his little sis.<\/p>\n

Rachel\u00a0surprised Nate with a custom Star Wars groom’s cake. \u00a0“Best. Wife. Ever.” He was pretty excited. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 Nice work, Mrs. Shaner!<\/p>\n

It poured off and on through out the wedding day but, amazingly, was clear for a few portraits with the wedding party, and after dinner at Boerner Botanical Gardens. \u00a0Rachel was so looking forward to photos in the garden so we snuck 15 minutes of them in\u00a0while we had the chance. \u00a0The mist and the wet leaves made for a lush look– these moody shots are some of my favs of the relaxed, super-happy\u00a0newlyweds:<\/p>\n
