Yay for another at-home maternity session. \u00a0Having a baby is one life event that shows around the home. \u00a0If you walk around the empty house of expectant parents, you see signs of what’s coming everywhere: \u00a0a cute, cozy nursery, ultrasound on the fridge, bottles, outlet covers, an empty picture frame or two, diapers stashed in several rooms, maybe a carseat\/carrier sits by the door. \u00a0There are books about baby’s first year on the shelves, doctor’s appointments on the kitchen calendar, and tiny shirts and shoes with tags attached… your home is waiting for baby too. \u00a0The home you made with your spouse, filled with more than enough love for two, and with things you’ve picked up along the way. \u00a0What better place to have a maternity shoot as you near the end of a pregnancy? \u00a0Jamie and Greg couldn’t agree more!<\/p>\n

We met last Friday to document this special time of waiting to meet their son. \u00a0These Chicago natives love traveling together and in fact, travel that first put distance between them, ultimately made them closer. \u00a0Absence makes the heart grow fonder… The coffee cups used for this shoot are a small part of their collection from international Starbucks cafes.<\/p>\n

This next adventure will take them to a whole new world, but keep them closer to home for awhile. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Jamie and Greg, your home is a lovely place to welcome a child. \u00a0Thank your for inviting me to capture you just being you, hanging out in your space. \u00a0You guys are sweet together– I can’t wait to see you as parents, and photograph your son! \u00a0ENJOY.<\/p>\n
