This engagement shoot was more last minute than most. \u00a0Liz called a couple days before leaving MN for a family wedding in WI on the off-chance something (and a library!) might be open. \u00a0Photographers don’t have regular weekends, but we do have the noble goal– can’t say I hit this every time– of taking one weekday off per week during the wedding season. \u00a0I had one planned the Monday she and Richard were in town but I’m SO glad it turned into a really great session. \u00a0Even the weather seemed to know this was a make-it-happen shoot; we couldn’t have asked for a prettier September night.<\/p>\n

Within moments of meeting them it was clear Liz and Richard are made for each other. \u00a0You know those inbetween moments on a wedding day? \u00a0A touch, a laugh, a quick kiss on the cheek, a sweet look… the sheer happiness, excitement for the future, and deep satisfaction there is in finding your ‘ever after’ is in these moments. \u00a0And this session was full of them.<\/p>\n

After a stop at Milwaukee Central Library, since homework and studying is real-life L&R, it was off to the beach! \u00a0Richard brought his parents’ wedding quilt, a beautiful idea in more ways than one, and ‘kidnapped’ his bride to be at one point. \u00a0The things long distance dating makes you want to do, he joked. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Thanks so much, you two, for an awesome day at two places I love. \u00a0I can’t wait to document your wedding next August. \u00a0ENJOY.<\/p>\n
