Last week, Katy and Lucia were brave enough to experiment with our new gigantic posing bag, called a newborn nest– which sounds sweet and cozy but is BIIIG and, thankfully, now stored at the new studio instead of my livingroom! It’s awesome for getting the tummy shots where babies this age are thinking about crawling, and for making little burrows for brand newbies to feel cuddled/secure during a shoot.
Lucia was all smiles for her session… as long as mom was close by. Katy did more work to win these smiles than I did. 🙂 Thanks Katy, for the coffee and your willingness to ‘roll with’ my idea of some group photos on the bed. There’s so much love in these everyday shots! Priceless days of little grins that go by so fast. Definitely my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Playing with Mom. Katy was shaking her head so the ends of her hair touched Lucia’s feet. Apparently this is hilarious. 🙂 Whatever works!
Someone’s big brother woke up from nap toward the end of this session. I’m so glad he did, and that I got to document this “I just woke up hair”. I LOVE the light in this bedroom– brides, take note. 🙂 This is why we want you to pleeeeeease get ready in a room with windows. You just can’t fake this soft white light.
