Last week while waiting out the hail in the Bayshore Mall parking ramp, I called Mollie, “Umm, I think we’ll be happier if we pick a different day to shoot…” The last thing I want you to remember from your senior session is how you got pelted with ice chunks and had to leave, right?
A few hours later, minus the really dark clouds, and with the surprise of a little sun, we decided to go for it. It was a gorgeous after hanging out at the rink and felt like one of those humid nights in Minnesota when the six-year-old me whined about having to go to bed when “it’s still day!” Warm, fresh smelling air and a sweet sunset to boot. 🙂
The Thinker has nothing on you, Mollie. 🙂 Soft and intellectual.
Caught a cute smile:
This shot looked like it could go a little classic/country western. Just a little purple in the shadows and voila! Those eyes!
Yellow light? Yes please!
I should have edited myself to share just three of these images, but they all happened in the space of two minutes and seem to work best in succession.
Moooooovement!
Mollie is a hockey manager, journalist, dancer, world traveller, vegetarian, and awesome Fresh Frame Senior Rep for 2012-2013. Shooting this session was like wandering around with a friend who knows how to put together an outfit (at one point I caught myself just before asking if she wanted to stop at Fiddleheads for a coffee. Haha. These cameras need two hands.). Mollie’s both beautiful and smart– not a bad combo– and I was thrilled to see both sides reflected in her images. Enjoy this sneak peek, Mollie- thanks for a being awesome and flexible (no pun intended). These lifestyle dance images are some of my favs. Who knew you could make dancing in a parking lot look so full of grace?
