Max surprised his parents by coming into the world a little earlier than expected. Time flew by (days and night with a new baby always blur together) and Max was 10 days old. Yuni called to have his infant photo shoot before her baby got any bigger or any more alert. Yuni said she could already tell her son looked different (in just ten days) from his first days of life. I hope all new moms have the time to stare at their little one and marvel at their face, their hands, their tiny toes and eyelashes.
We were able to squeeze Max in the next day, instead of waiting until after the holiday, but even so I wasn’t sure how many sleeping pictures he’d give us. He was an early baby, though, and even at 11 days, acted like less- he’d fuss a little when moved or undressed, but in a matter of 30 seconds, his eyes would get heavy and he’d drop right back to sleep. Adorable sleep. 🙂 It was amazing. I should have him give a talk to all my newborns: “Guys, this is how it’s done…”
Yuni, this is such a BEAUTIFUL picture of motherhood. I wouldn’t think twice about framing a copy for my dresser, one for my son’s room, and one for my husband to take to the office.
Thanks to my grandma for another newborn cocoon prop. You can’t tell from the photo, but this one is blue for boys! Pinkish/purple just wouldn’t cut it. 🙂
Oh my goodness, that hair. 🙂 I just couldn’t get over it.
Dad picked out this cute stocking hat for a few shots– Wisconsin baby, set for winter!
Father and son (another one for the dresser!).
Family photo- and then there were THREE.
Congratulations- thanks for a great session!
