Along the lakefront now the trees are almost bare. The days are super short and the wind today made me glad we squeezed one last engagement shoot in before fall split for good! Matt and Elise met me on the lake, when a few leaves were still hanging around. A red sweater blanket was the perfect November touch but Elise’s blue eyes stole the show!
Matt is at seminary here, studying to be a pastor, and Elise teaches history in Minnesota. They met in college and over years and miles, forged a friendship that ended with a beginning: Matt planned a thoughtful, romantic proposal of letters and wine… and she said “yes!” After hiking around on the beach for an hour, we warmed up with coffee at Fiddleheads in Mequon. Matt & Elise, I can already tell your June wedding will be not only beautiful but FULL of meaningful photos.
