Breanna & Cody – La Crosse Wisconsin, Wedding Photography

Choreographed dancing, thunderstorms, a flag dedication, and sunset over the Mississippi River…. Breanna and Cody’s wedding was definitely a day to remember!  Breanna was a bridesmaid at Jodi and Steve’s wedding in June.  Her sense of humor/goofiness and effortless elegance have had me itching to get her behind the lens as a bride!  The day began in Onalaska where Breanna grew up, at the church where she and Cody shared a lot of Sundays and her dad is Pastor.

After three boys in the Bader family, finally along came a girl!  It was especially sweet to watch this mama help her youngest dress for a wedding.

Though Brenna could have pulled off almost anything, the dress she chose was the picture of elegance.  Something Grace Kelly, timeless, about this silhouette:

It was a special blessing that Cody’s father (above), an airforce officer, was able to attend his oldest son’s wedding while on leave from Afghanistan.  The contrast of this celebratory day, full of love and hope, and his daily life overseas was not lost on family and friends during his speech at the reception.

I loved the look of this rustic, wild strawberry cake!  So vibrant and so summer.  YUM!

(below) The three musketeers: Bree, Rachel and Jodi.  Two of the three have now tied the knot; Rachel will be on the Fresh Frame blog in a white dress come July!  This is the kind of friendship every bride needs by her side the day she says “I do”.  🙂

Not a dry eye (yes, me too) when Cody’s dad presented the couple with an American flag that had flown on the airfare base in Afghanistan, and the whole room stood to applaud his service.

Bree has a reputation on the dance floor and did not disappoint!  She must have gotten the moves from mom and dad- they joined her in a family ‘first dance’ and  just went for it!  Here they are preforming their impressive mash up:

The Riverside in LaCrosse is just where it sounds, tucked between the bluffs and the Mississippi.  What a pretty spot to spend a night celebrating with friends:
