Mike & Alex- Husband & Wife, Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

This wedding seemed a long way off when I first met Alex and Mike at my favorite Bay View coffee shop (shout out to Sven’s!). But like most weddings, the months flew by, and Christmas too, soon it was the start of a new year and new adventure for these Californians.

Alex’s sister was her maid of honor and summed it up in her speech- Mike and Alex are the perfect complement to each other. Alex brightens Mike’s world with her smile, she doesn’t skimp on laughter or affection and Mike in turn, ‘the perfect gentleman’ treats his bride with care like every man should.  ENJOY this preview:

Bling bling!  These earrings were Alex’s favorite part of her wedding look.

Ready for the first look:

This is how love should feel.  : )  My favorite:

This cutie was in such a rush to get down the aisle, she forgot to throw her petals until…

…she remembered!

You may kiss the bride:

Quick stop at Milwaukee Ale House for some pre-celebration celebration!

The Milwaukee Public Market is a cool venue for a wedding anytime, but looks even better decked out for the holidays.

I love this idea for incorporating florals into your centerpieces.  Beautiful, wintry— and cheaper than a huge bouquet the size of these branches.  Nice work, ladies!

This maid of honor speech was awesome.  Started out sweet, ended with a personalized version of Gangam Style complete with back up dancers.  IMPRESSIVE.

Love this one too-  Happy New Year!

Alex and Mike, your wedding was a blast! So much love and so much fun at Milwaukee Public Market. Thank you for inviting me to capture it- what better way to ring in the New Year than with a true new beginning? Alex, you were absolutely beautiful- you don’t look half as freezing cold as you were!  Congratulations!

  1. […] Two days later, it was time for another wedding.  Once again, I didn’t get any good pictures, but this time it was because I didn’t bring a camera for much of it.  Alex and Mike got married at a church in Milwaukee and had their reception at the Milwaukee Public Market on New Year’s Eve – complete with a champagne toast at midnight and traditional New Year’s hats and noisemakers.  It was the perfect way to ring in the New Year and I’m so happy that I got to be part of their big day.  Plus, I got to spend even more time with my favorite girls.  You can see more pictures of their wedding on their photographer’s blog.
