Rick & Rebecca – Husband & Wife, Shorewood Wedding Photography

It’s hard to sum up the feeling of working with a client like Becky.  She has one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen and you pretty much feel like the bees knees just being around her.  She’s caring, vivacious, funny and sweet.  Rick, you hit the jackpot with this one.  🙂  Since the moment we met, Becky was confident Fresh Frame was the right fit for her wedding.  I was thrilled when she officially hired me!  Every email I open from her makes me smile and this wedding was just as fun as I knew it would be.

The ceremony was held at St. Francis of Assisi, a huge historical Catholic church.  Its soaring sanctuary caught me by surprise.  Good surprise.  🙂  And what an interesting, old maze of halls and room surrounded it.  I accidentally discovered more alcoves, chapels and closets trying to navigate between the bride and groom’s getting ready locations!  If you know me and my sense of direction this won’t come as a shock…

After some photos at Humboldt Park and a stop at Camp Bar in Shorewood (a rustic, casual place to catch a game & wind down from the week: campbarmke.com), it was time to celebrate!  There are so many moments I loved from the day, but one that sticks out in my mind is the matron of honor’s speech.  In honor of Becky, the Disney fan, Roberta wrote and sang a song, an epic love-inspired-Disney-princess ballad.  It was hilarious and sweet, and deserved its standing ovation.  Can you laugh, tear up and take pictures at the same time?  Yes.

Rick and Becky, thank you so much for having me photograph your wedding!  You and your families made for an incredible start to our 2014 wedding season.  ENJOY your long honeymoon and this sneak peek.

  1. Rick and Becky,

What a winner you found in this photographer! The photos are beautiful and I got to see things that I absolutely missed at the wedding. Thank you for making us a part of your special day. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Now I need a tissue because weddings always make me cry (smile)

  2. Your pictures are AMAZING, but not as much as you two! Becky, I have NEVER seen a bride who smiled and glowed all day/night long. From the first glimpse of you to the final wave. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. While on the subject of special….you did a wonderful job hiring your photographers. They captured it all without being in everyone’s way.

  3. You ladies captured the day perfectly and invisibly. It was an amazing day. We are so Happy for our friends Rick and Becky to have finally tied the knot. Too bad you can’t join them on their honeymoon. Lol. I guess their selfies will have to do. Congrats you two, thanks for letting us be a part of this long awaited occasion!! Had almost as much fun as you two. Love you both!!

  4. I don’t even know you two but I am related to Roberta. Your wedding was beautiful from what I saw and my favorite was the maid of honor speech. Roberta is so clever. What a wonderful friend she has to be to you.

  5. These pictures are beautiful. I’d like to say to Becky, welcome to the family but you’ve already been part of this crazy family for so long…at least now it is official. I wish you both all the happiness in the world. I hope you have the ‘happily ever after’ everyone searches for.

  6. I am amazed at how beautifully you captured my daughter and new son’s wedding day in your photos. I’ve looked at these pictures many times and relive the day through them with a smile on my face and a few tears in my eyes…thank you!
